How: My Bachelor project concerned blind and visually impaired people. The site was Haukeland Universitetssykehus in Bergen. The hospital is an old building from the 70’s where universal design has not been taken into consideration. The goal was to create an environment which covers the blind and visually impaired’s needs. I would like the sighted people to have an emphatic approach towards the user group rather than a sympathetic one.

Scenario: The Bachelor assignment has been a 3 months long project where we was free to choose user group and site ourselves. We were asked to hand in a written text explaining our concept and process as well as practical work. The final outcome should include sketches, scale models, material samples and digital visualisations.
