KONKYLIEN
Scenario:
Create a place that is related to travelling. Interior architect students and visual communication students worked alongside on the project. The groups got to decide the user group and the location themselves. Project period: 5 weeks.
How:
By using different design skills from our professions. Experimenting with several design tools as well as getting a better understanding in terms of how how they work.
Konkylien:
We would like to make a more welcoming and attractive underpass. Our aim was to create a meeting point which people would like to use rather than avoid. We focused a lot on the importance of feeling safe by attracting people to the place to minimize the feeling of being alone.
The result is a social arena we have called Konkylien. It is inspired by the shape of a conch that twists and turns and fits perfectly the sea life inspired theme we went for. With an opening, just like the opening of the conch, Konkylien invite people into an experience like no other.
