DRÅPE
Scenario:
The course aims to provide an understanding of sizes, proportions and basic ergonomics by developing a full size seating unit. Here we were able to apply knowledge of materials and constructions, drawing and workshop use from the previous
semester.
How:
Immerse in design, dimensioning, proportion and materials. Take part in the whole prosess from scetches and scala models to proto types.
Dråpe:
Dråpe (eng. trens: drop) is inspired by the shape of the water drop. The legs have an organic shape which gives it a soft and delicate expression. It is equally suitable as a seat or a side table - whatever you prefer. Dråpe is designed for the little moments in life when you just need a small break. The material used is 100% Norwegian ash. Ash as a material is beautiful, durable and solid. Dråpe is painted in white pigmented lacquer with a transparent finish, highlighting the wood grain texture.
